Homemade Peanut Butter

Did you know peanut butter includes one ingredient? It’s incredibly easy to make at home and just as tasty. Who knew?

Here’s what I did:

I bought a jar of Honey Roasted Peanuts. (Heads up, peanuts are expensive. Always buy the general store brand. They are at least half as expensive. My 16 oz. jar  at Wal-mart cost $2.50)

Then you just put them in your food processor.

Seriously.

At first the peanuts will chop up to a fine powder, and then a doughy ball. Leave it going just a few minutes longer and PRESTO – You have made homemade peanut butter that tastes store bought.

*Note, the new butter will be warm from the food processor. Place in a container in the fridge to cool. Then eat.

Alterations

I put honey in the processor as well before I turned it on. Other suggestions?

– Cocoa Powder

– Nutella

– Vanilla Extract

Go enjoy. You can use it on sandwiches, in protein shakes, or you can eat it by itself, which I did to at least half of it as I was typing this recipe. Whoops!
